Terms of Service
Last updated: October 19, 2026
By using Shorten Magic you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. The Service
Shorten Magic is an online service for shortening links, redirecting them, generating QR codes and providing click stats. Features vary by plan.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account details confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You may not create links for:
- Phishing, fraud or identity theft,
- Distributing malware, viruses or unwanted software,
- Sending spam,
- Illegal content, copyright infringement or content that violates others' rights,
- Automated use that overloads the Service's infrastructure.
Links that break these rules may be disabled without notice, and the account involved may be suspended.
4. Plans and payment
Free short links created without a plan are reviewed before they go live and may be listed publicly. Instant links, editing, deletion and API access require an active plan. Plans are prepaid for a fixed period and priced in US dollars. A plan becomes active once your payment of the exact amount shown on the payment page is confirmed. Plans do not renew automatically. Links created with your account stop redirecting while your plan is inactive and resume when you renew. If your account is deleted, its links are deleted too. You are responsible for following the payment instructions and paying the exact amount shown, including any fees charged by your payment provider. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Availability
We work to keep the Service running without interruption, but we aren't liable for indirect damages caused by maintenance, infrastructure failures or events beyond our control.
6. Intellectual property
The Shorten Magic name, logo and software belong to us. You're responsible for the links you create and the content they point to.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled exclusively by the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
